The McLaughlin Doty Foundation scholarship was established in 2011 to assist students who need financial assistance in pursuing their educational goals. The scholarship award is for a maximum of $7500 per school year per recipient (a total of $30,000 for up to 4 years). The amount awarded will vary depending on the applicant’s needs and the type of degree or program the applicant is pursuing.
This application is a one-time process to be awarded throughout the applicant’s college education. The application process opens November 1, 2020, and completed applications are due by March 1, 2021. Students awarded a scholarship will be expected to attend an accredited program on a full-time basis (this includes a college, university, community college, technical school, trade school, or school for the arts), maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA (“B” average), be an asset to their school and community, maintain at least part-time employment while receiving the scholarship, and submit progress reports to the Foundation twice a year.
